Maximise your capabilities as an APLS facilitator with the Educational Skills Development Course.

The 2025 ESDC will be held in Melbourne on Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th August.

The ESDC has limited places for APLS faculty only.

Successful applicants will be offered a place on this course before the end of May.

This two day program, led by passionate educators from across the APLS community, expands on APLS GIC course content with an emphasis on practical techniques.

Alongside the APLS Education support team, the facilitators supporting this program include: Susan Adams, Victor Lee, Jacquie Schutz, Jim Flynn, Alex Thorburn, Olwen Gilbert and Jennie Martin.

The Educational Skills Development Course (ESDC) course has been designed to support APLS instructors to enhance their skills as facilitators of learning. The focus during this two day course will be on the teaching modes of scenario teaching, discussion groups, skills teaching and on feedback techniques. Participants will be given opportunities to develop skills as facilitators through discussion, practice and peer-to-peer learning.
