Dr Chris Vallis of the Advanced Life Support Group, UK, goes back to the future to predict what lies in store for medical education over the next decade.

Speaker biography:
Chris was a candidate on the first GIC course in the UK and became APLS instructor number 17. He worked as a Consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia and Paediatric Intensive Care at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle-upon-Tyne before retiring in 2014. Chris was medical director of the Great North Run, the world's biggest half-marathon, for more than 20 years. He recently retired from the APLS Working Group and remains on the ALSG Board of Trustees. Chris taught on the first APLS and GIC courses in Australia and a wooden paperweight he was given after one of those courses is still in daily use on his desk.
