Meredith Borland, chair of the PREDICT paediatric emergency research network, reviews current practice and evidence in the treatment of wheeze in children.

Meredith is a Paediatric Emergency Physician and the Director of Emergency Medicine at Perth Children's Hospital. She is the current Chair of the PREDICT research network. Her particular research interests include intranasal fentanyl for acute pain, acute respiratory conditions (including viral induced wheeze, asthma and croup) and the management of head injuries and abdominal pain in the ED setting. She has been actively involved in the development of the Australasian Bronchiolitis guideline and subsequent research into methods to effectively translate the guideline into clinical practice.
